Laiterie Home ("Laiterie," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and online store to bring you considered bedding and home textiles (including bed linen, sheets, pillowcases, duvets, and duvet covers), and related products. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit laiteriehome.com, make a purchase, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described herein. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy governs with respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.
Information We Collect

When you create an account, place an order, sign up for emails or SMS messages, contact our customer support, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address
- Payment information — credit card or debit card numbers and other financial account details (processed securely through our payment provider; Laiterie does not store full card numbers)
- Account credentials — username, password, and security preferences
- Order information — items purchased, returns, exchanges, and transaction history
- Communications — the content of messages you send us, including customer support inquiries
- Gift recipient information — if you ship a purchase to someone else, we collect their name and shipping address solely to fulfill your request
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- Device information — browser type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers
- Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, referring URLs, and browsing behavior on our site
- Location data — approximate geographic location inferred from your IP address
We collect this information using cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, log files, and similar technologies. For more information about cookies and how to manage them, please see Section 6 below.
Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including:
- Service providers that help us operate our business, such as our e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify), payment processors, shipping and fulfillment providers, and customer service platforms
- Advertising and analytics partners that help us measure site performance and deliver advertising (e.g. Google Analytics and Meta)
- Social media platforms when you interact with our content or log in using a social account
Tracking Technologies on Our Site
Our Site may use tracking pixels, software development kits, session replay tools, and similar technologies provided by third parties (such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, and similar technologies) that, when enabled, may capture information about your interactions with the Site — including pages viewed, clicks, mouse movements, form-field entries (excluding payment card numbers and other sensitive identifiers), and similar engagement data — and transmit that information to the relevant third party. Where required by law, these technologies will only operate after you have provided consent through the cookie banner on our Site (see Section 6). You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie preferences tool described in Section 6.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Order fulfillment — processing payments, arranging shipping, sending confirmations and receipts, and handling returns and exchanges
- Customer service — responding to your questions, resolving disputes, and improving our support
- Account management — creating and maintaining your account and preferences
- Marketing and communications — sending promotional emails and, with your consent, SMS messages about new products, offers, and updates; you may opt out at any time
- Personalization — tailoring your browsing and shopping experience based on your interests and past interactions
- Analytics and improvement — understanding how customers use our site in order to improve our products and services
- Security and fraud prevention — detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent or illegal activity
- Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable law, responding to legal process, and enforcing our policies
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain of our advertising and analytics practices — including the use of advertising cookies and pixels described in Sections 1 and 6 — may constitute "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in other states. You may opt out of such sharing at any time as described in Section 7. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers
We share information with vendors and partners who help us operate our business, including e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment providers, email and SMS delivery platforms, and analytics providers. These parties are contractually required to use your information only as directed by us and to maintain appropriate security measures.
Advertising and Marketing Partners
We may share limited information with advertising partners (e.g. Meta and Google) to deliver targeted advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness. Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to opt out of this sharing. See Section 7 for how to exercise that right.
Business Transfers
If Laiterie is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice if your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy as a result.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information when required by law or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or the rights of others, prevent fraud, or respond to a government request.
With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
SMS / Text Message Marketing
With your prior express written consent, we may send you recurring automated marketing and transactional text messages, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or pre-recorded voice, about new arrivals, promotions, order updates, and other relevant communications. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from Laiterie. Message frequency will vary, but we do not expect to send more than eight (8) messages per month unless otherwise disclosed at the time you opt in.
- To opt in, you may provide your mobile number through our website sign-up form or at checkout and agree to receive SMS messages from Laiterie
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan
- To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages will be sent
- To request help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@laiteriehome.com
- Your SMS opt-in data and consent will never be shared with any third party for their own marketing purposes
Carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all carriers may be supported.
For the full terms governing our SMS program, please see Section 9 (SMS / Text Message Program) of our Terms of Service.
User Generated Content (UGC)
From time to time, Laiterie may reach out to customers or social media users to request permission to feature their content — such as photos, videos, and reviews — on our website, social media channels, paid advertising, and other marketing materials. Tagging Laiterie or using a Laiterie-branded hashtag (such as #LaiterieHome) does not by itself grant Laiterie any license to use your content. We will only use your content after you have given us explicit affirmative written consent in response to our outreach (for example, by replying "Yes, you may use this content per Laiterie's UGC terms" via direct message or email).
By granting that consent, you provide Laiterie the rights described in Section 8 (User Content and Social Media) of our Terms of Service, including a worldwide, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt your content for marketing purposes, together with the right to use your name, social media handle, voice, and likeness in connection with those uses (including under California Civil Code §3344). You represent that you are at least 18 years of age, that any individual appearing in the content is at least 18, that you own or control all necessary rights, and that the content does not infringe any third-party rights. You may withdraw consent for future uses at any time by emailing hello@laiteriehome.com and identifying the specific content you wish Laiterie to discontinue (by URL, image or video description, or date of submission). Withdrawal applies only to new uses on Laiterie-controlled channels (laiteriehome.com, Laiterie's email and SMS marketing, and Laiterie's active paid advertising campaigns) going forward, and is subject to the carve-outs for prior, queued, organic, syndicated, and third-party uses described in Section 8 of our Terms of Service.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, analyze site traffic, and deliver relevant advertising. The main types we use include:
- Essential cookies — required for the website to function (e.g., your shopping cart)
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Marketing cookies — used to deliver targeted advertisements across the web, such as those set by Meta, Google, TikTok, and similar advertising partners

- Right to Delete — request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
- Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you
- Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing — we do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law. Please note that if we delete your personal information, some of our services may be affected. Examples include:
- Returns — we will not have the ability to look up your order in our system. To process a return or refund within our 14-day return window, we will require proof of purchase such as an order confirmation email. If you are unable to provide proof of purchase, we may not be able to process your return.

Please also note that we will retain your personal information as needed to fulfill any outstanding transactions or open return obligations before processing a deletion request. This is consistent with the CCPA’s statutory exception permitting retention of data necessary to complete a transaction or fulfill a contract.
Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83).
California residents may request information regarding our disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year. Laiterie does not disclose personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. You may submit a request under this section by emailing hello@laiteriehome.com with the subject line "Shine the Light Request."
Financial Incentive Notice.
From time to time, Laiterie may offer financial incentives — such as a discount on your first order in exchange for signing up for our email or SMS list. The material terms of any such incentive will be presented to you at the time of the offer. You may opt in to the incentive by following the instructions in the offer and withdraw from the incentive at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us at hello@laiteriehome.com. Laiterie has determined in good faith that the value of the personal information collected through such incentives is reasonably related to the value of the offer to Laiterie, calculated based on our expected cost of acquiring a comparable subscriber through other marketing channels.
Verification.
To protect your information, we will verify your identity before processing a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information. Depending on the nature of the request, we may ask you to confirm information already in our records (such as the email address or order number associated with your account) and to confirm that you are the person making the request. We will not use the information you provide for verification for any purpose other than verifying your identity.
To exercise your California rights, please email hello@laiteriehome.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days (with an extension to 90 days if needed). You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written authorization (such as a signed letter or power of attorney) along with verification of your own identity.
Residents of Other US States
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, New Jersey, Delaware, and other states with applicable privacy laws may have rights similar to those described above, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. To submit a request, please contact us at hello@laiteriehome.com. If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at the same email address with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond to appeals in accordance with applicable state law.
International Customers
Laiterie is a US-based business. If you are located outside the United States and we are able to accommodate your order or otherwise interact with you, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. US data protection laws may differ from, and may provide less protection than, those in your country. By using our Services or providing us with your information, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and believe you have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR (such as access, erasure, restriction, or portability), you may contact us at hello@laiteriehome.com to discuss your request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Sensitive data such as payment card information is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS protocols and processed by PCI-compliant providers.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at hello@laiteriehome.com.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. The following describes our general retention practices by category:
| Category | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | Seven (7) years following the date of the order, to comply with tax and accounting obligations |

| Device, usage, and cookie data | Per the retention schedule of each cookie or tracking technology — typically 30 days to 24 months |
Actual retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the transaction, applicable legal obligations, and legitimate business needs.
You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly market to or solicit personal information from anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a person under 18, please contact us at hello@laiteriehome.com and we will promptly delete it.
As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of California residents under 16 years of age. Under the CCPA, the sale or sharing of personal information of California residents under 16 requires affirmative opt-in consent (and, for residents under 13, consent of the parent or guardian). Laiterie does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any California resident under 16.
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal information, including details about race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, health or medical data, biometric data, sexual orientation or gender identity, political opinions, or criminal history. Please do not include such information in any communications with us.
Third-Party Websites and Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or business operations. When we make changes, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on our website and update the "Last Updated" date above. The revised Privacy Policy will be effective when posted, unless otherwise stated. Where required by applicable law, or where we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share your personal information, we may provide additional notice, such as by posting a notice on the Site or contacting you at the email address associated with your account or most recent order. Your continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
